Everything about this parfait is absolutely bliss. This is happiness in a glass my friends. True happiness!
I’m not even playing you. The moment I thought of making this recipe, I knew it was going to be good. And I always know when something is good by the way my kids react to it. Like with these chocolaty S’mores Crescent Rolls or these yummy, yummy Rice Krispies Treats, they almost couldn’t wait for me to take the pictures. Once I did, they gobbled each and every one of the parfaits like it was candy. I practically had to beg my son to let me try a little. Yes! It was that good.
What is so good about a simple yogurt parfait, you ask?
Well, only that is made with one of the most delicious tropical fruits in existance. That’s what!
Which fruit is that? Papaya, of course.
I love Papaya. It is such a great and delicious fruit. But, did you know that Papaya offers great nutritional benefits too?
Papaya is rich in fibre, Vitamin C and antioxidants, which prevent cholesterol build up in your arteries. It also helps boost your immune system, improves digestion and can even help reduce stress. It has anti-inflammatory properties and is rich on Vitamin A, which helps protect your eye sight.
All of that in one simple fruit! Now, tell me that isn’t just awesome!
I just love how good this fruit is for you and how great it tastes. Until now, this Papaya Milkshake was my favorite recipe using this fruit. However, this scrumptious Papaya Greek Yogurt Parfait is working it hard to get that spot. And, I think it just might.
Papaya is not the only healthy ingredient in this recipe. Greek Yogurt is rich in protein, Vitamin B12, Potassium and Calcium. Plus, the honey, granola and coconut flakes are all also very good foods. Everything in this glass is good for you. This is definitely the healthiest and tastiest dessert I’ve ever made. Yes, it’s so yummy that it qualifies as a dessert, or breakfast, or snack. Heck! Have it for lunch or even dinner if you’d like. I’m sure that would be fine, too.
I need to make this again like ASAP! Just for me. No sharing. I’m going to get really greedy this time around because I’m sure the kids won’t mind one bit eating it all again and not letting me have any. Or maybe, I’ll share a bit. But only a little bit and that’s it.
Maybe. I really have to think about it.

Papaya Greek Yogurt Parfait
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 1 cup papaya , cut into cubes
- 2 cups vanilla greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup granola
- 1/4 cup toasted coconut flakes
- In 2 small or medium glasses, layer ingredients as follows: honey, yogurt, papaya, granola and coconut flakes. Repeat as needed to fill the glasses.
- Serve immediately.
