Hard Boiled Eggs

How to make perfect hard-boiled eggs. Easy tips on how to boil eggs so that they come out perfect every time.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Place eggs in a medium pot and add enough water to cover the eggs, about 3 cups. 
  • Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once it starts boiling, set a timer for 10 minutes. 
  • Carefully, remove eggs from boiling water and immediately place in a bowl with ice cold water. 
  • Crack the shell of the eggs by tapping slightly on the counter or wooden board. Peel carefully. 
  • Dip the egg (as you are peeling it) in and out of the water to remove any slivers of the shell, as needed.
  • Cut eggs in half, season with salt and pepper and serve. 

Notes

Hard-boiled eggs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
