Grapefruit Margarita

- 1 cup fresh grapefruit juice
- ½ cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons agave
- ¼ cup orange liquor
- ½ cup tequila
- Ice cubes
- salt, for the rim of the glass (optional)
- grapefruit wedges, for garnish
- lime wedges, for garnish
Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it in the salt. Keep glasses in the fridge until ready to serve.
Shake the grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave, orange liquor, tequila and ice in a cocktail shaker for about 1-2 minutes, or until cold.
Pour mixture into cold glasses. Add some extra ice cubes, if desired.
Place a grapefruit or lime wedge (or both) on the rim of each glass to garnish.
Serve immediately.
- If you want to add a spicy kick to this cocktail, try adding a bit of jalapeño to the mix.
- You can also make a classic margarita by simply using lime juice instead of adding grapefruit juice as well.
